Long Term Student Girls Hostel in Vile Parle: Your perfect beginning to an adventurous life

If you are a female student studying or working away from home, you must have had a tough time convincing your parents to let go of your safety net. In many Indian households, a girl student staying away from home in a hostel isn’t an acceptable practice. However, the concern is genuine and perpetual.

Living in a different city, in student accommodation, and pursuing higher studies is a rite of passage for every millennial. Unfortunately, not all parents have adjusted to the change when female students are in question. For the ones who do, the only thing to worry about is finding a good girls’ hostel.

However, India is home to some great universities but has no suitable arrangements for students to spend their next 3-4 years comfortably.

How does Mumbai Girls Hostel make life adventurous for Students?

Hostel life has so much to offer, especially in Metropolitan cities like Mumbai. The nightlife, the local streets, the attractive spots, and the freedom look lucrative. But for students, the priority is finding a place they can call home for the next few years. And if we are talking about female students, safety is of prime importance. That’s why finding a good girls’ hostel in Mumbai becomes challenging.

But Tribe understood the hardships of a female student and established a premium space for girls in a high-end area (Vile Parle). The community here understands that like boys feel safe living far away from home, so should the female students. It isn’t worth agonizing over safety and not making full of the opportunities as a student exploring university life.

Now before you start scratching your head to find reasons for traversing through Tribe’s student accommodation for Girls in Vile Parle amongst all other girl’s hostels in Mumbai, we have some fun things to tell you, gals. And you wouldn’t be able to contain your excitement about starting your new adventure.

Living a Warden-Free Life

Wardens, we tell you! Every flick watched has portrayed wardens as living, breathing reminders of remote control deciding when girls should leave their hostel. But that’s not the culture here at the tribe. We believe in autonomy because everyone is an adult. Believe it or not, students living in Mumbai hostels are more independent and responsible because they are in a different city, making their way through classes, work, and simultaneously enjoying life. They wouldn’t want to indulge in mishappenings in their right minds. So freedom is the key.

No Curfew restricting the Fun

Even without wardens, the curfew timings set in Mumbai hostels could take out the fun. All the fun begins at night, and the idea of returning to the hostel by 8 is not very happening. In a city like Mumbai, life starts at night, and you wouldn’t want to be cooped up in your hostel room thinking that if you get the chance to go out, you will hop right out of the window. That’s why the Tribe girls hostel in Mumbai (Vile Parle) does not believe in curfew because the night is still young.

Safety works through technology

The tribe has a robust security system that gives every student the safety they seek inside a hostel room at any time of the day. The RFID bands are an incredible innovation, a key to many things in luxury student accommodation. Safety for girls is a real deal, and to feel comfortable at their second place of stay, primarily if it is meant to be a long-time thing, the RFID bands are the best thing they have.

Food worth remembering your Home

For girl students living far away from home means taking good care of their health & hygiene which isn’t an easy job. Amidst all the assignments, tests, and evaluations, students need all the nutrients and healthy habits. And Tribe has been awarded for the food it provides to the student, and it is prepared in complete adherence to nutrients and hygiene so that students feel they are eating at home.

There is more to explore in the Tribe luxury accommodation for the student, and everything is worth your time. Get to know more about us on our website.

First 6 months at Tribe Student Accommodation & What more to come

As a young student with so many dreams, leaving home and your comfort zone might sound like a scary idea, especially looking at the reviews from other students. However, this can be your main character moment that you have been waiting for since you saw “Wakeup Sid.

That’s right! Here is your chance to experience & live the main character’s Life, feelings & the vibes. If Aisha from Wake up Sid was ever your ‘That Girl’ and you can’t wait to explore your life. Then my friend ‘Tribe’ is one of the best options one can look for.

While going through my own research and looking out for the best options for my stay. I came across ‘Tribe’ as luxurious as it looked. I wasn’t quite sure if in reality it was the same as portrayed. However, Tribe was welcoming enough to give me a free tour around their campus.

With International Standard Rooms, Cafe Mamaliga, Free WiFi, a Fitness Centre, and ERP systems, I could thrive rather than survive in the hostel.

A sneak peak into my first 6 months

The initial days after I moved into the hostel were quite overwhelming for me. I was amazed by how other students casually fitted in and I wasn’t surprised either to see myself fit into their ‘tribe’.

It was nothing near to the “hostel stories” I heard from my classmates. Here’s how my usual day looks – Every morning I was excited to start my day by hitting the Gym. Later, I would make my way to our cafe to have my healthy yet delicious breakfast. In my leisure time, I would be seen hanging around the breakout areas or entertainment zones. Many students, including myself, prefer to play badminton, carrom, or watch a movie after dinner.

On some not so usual days, we had 2 am maggi moments that make hostel life complete. The night cravings would be us students indulging in making all sorts of DIY recipes, exploring the master chefs in us.

I was able to boast about so many events hosted by Tribe to my classmates when I saw them ranting about theirs. Just to list a few – Soaking in all-natural colours on Holi, celebrating Earth Day by switching off all our lights for an hour across all Tribe campuses to make way for candlelight dinners under the stars.

One of my best events I celebrated with my Tribe family was the Easter Hunt. Since Easter isn’t that hyped in India yet it was so fun when we all students were finding macarons hidden in the hostel. Women’s day celebration was so special with cake, goodies & late night movie screening. Not just festivals, Tribe also hosted Live Band performance by Fiddlecraft & a Street play by Swatantra Theatre.

We also organised a theme party blasting DJ music, grooving to DJ and gobbling up sliders, popcorn, mocktails, shakes, and barbecue – to bid goodbye to our seniors,

What should one look out for in the upcoming 6 months?

As festival season continues, it’s a tradition at Tribe Hostel to celebrate the smallest occasions to the fullest. With the upcoming festival season, I am excited to look forward to celebrating with my tribe family. Induction Party for the newcomers, virtual talent fest, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri & more!

Now isn’t that a vibe you want to be a part of? Drop a call at +91 8880868000 or visit us at @tribestays on Insta to get a glimpse of what these events at Tribe truly are like! See you soon!

Extraordinary Innovation Hostel: Reasons tribe bagged the ‘Student Housing of the Year’ Title

Life as a student living away from home is callous because of all sorts of challenges, especially concerning suitable accommodation and healthy living. India is home to the largest youth demography, yet it is the slowest and most backward economy in providing students with affordable, safe, and secure living options.

However, Tribe redefined this concept of crooked and small hostels where students are fed unhealthy and tasteless food. Since its inception in 2018, the Tribe community has aimed to transform student accommodation into luxury living and a comfort-like home. The experience of students living in the Tribe is nothing less than fantastic, which is one reason we achieved the ‘Student Housing of the Year award 2020-21’ by Siliconindia Magazine.

Students expect better living conditions when talking about hostels in Mumbai or Pune. Countless young millennials migrate yearly to these cities to pursue degree programs in Universities. Upon reaching the place, when they discover no availability of hostels on-campus, they wander through the city from one nook to another corner and return disappointed.

Looking at these experiences, Tribe founders realized that real estate has the potential to upgrade better living conditions for students. Hence, they emerged with fantastic interiors, a study, and a chill-out zone with a safe living environment by introducing Pune student coliving  & Mumbai girl’s hostel. Going further, being able to win the Student Housing of the Year Award, it proved to be a conjunct of not just one but several facilities:

Extra Spacious Luxury Rooms

When the word ‘Hostel’ is uttered, the only picture that comes to mind is a small, 4 by 4 clogged space that fits a skeleton-like dusty mattress with no proper linen or covers on Pillow. In some of the Pune Hostels, there would even be dampened walls that would smell horrible, and washrooms would feel unhygienic.

But Tribe broke this stereotype with luxury rooms of international standards that made students love and remember the days spent at the accommodation. The spacious sunlit rooms with clean linens and a lovely space to study give the students a wholesome living experience.

The Innovative RFID Bands

We millennials have a lot to handle. Our hands are full of books, bags, and coffee cups. If we have to manage another set of keys to the hostel room, it would be a nightmare. And that’s why at tribe, the RFID bands came as a wonderful phenomenon, making life easier for students. Crossing scavenging for keys from the list, the RFID bands were provided to students in Tribe hostels in Mumbai (Vile Parle) and Pune (Viman Nagar and Wakad).

Upon coming into close contact with the bands, the rooms automatically unlock, removing all hassle of opening the old rusty lock with an even rusty key. While stepping into the elevator inside the girl’s or boys’ Pune hostel, scanning the RFID band would only take you to your room’s floor. The safety level helps students sleep peacefully without worrying about who would duplicate or steal the keys.

The Ultimate Tribe App Experience

We are highly addicted to applications on our phones for every action— from grocery shopping to online apparel shopping. And that’s why Tribe happily familiarized the student community with the Tribe App. From raising a complaint to informing the campus about visitors in Mumbai or Pune Hostel, the app truly benefits the student.

They can even store all their essential IDs on the app to quickly show them when asked. No more hunting down the wallet for your IDs. On top of that, all community events and updates reflect on the app, so students are open to participate, discuss and poll on making a decision.

Mouth-Watering Food & No Warden

Both in a hostel seem like only a fantasy, but the Tribe made it happen. With chefs and nutritionists preparing a healthy and tasty delicacy for students at Cafe Mamaliga, it officially triumphs the tag of hostel food equals a few years of living with hellish food. In addition, the no curfew and no warden life is the cherry on an already delicious cake. Students are self-determined to reach back to their dorm rooms. So the Tribe family cuts them slack to be free birds and responsible simultaneously.

Tribe Family not just extends amenities for a luxurious living but also extends the love. The warmth of tribe Stays makes students fall in love with our student accommodations in Mumbai & Pune. It aims to make staying away from home & learning a memorable journey for students. So are you looking to find a hostel in Pune or Mumbai? Come be part of the tribe Family!

Hostel Bookings are OPEN! Here is what you need to know before booking one

Working or living away from home might initially feel quite adventurous, but that comes with challenges. The trickiest part is finding a good hostel. As the new session begins, the search for hostels will top the list. That’s because charting out the best places to stay from the list of hostels in Mumbai or Pune is like searching for a gem in a pile of dust.

Indeed, living in a hostel is a one-of-a-kind experience for us millennials, especially for the digital nomads who believe in their techy means of life for work and living at several locations. That’s why it is essential to be thorough about some aspects before booking the hostel. However, for someone who is going to experience living in a hostel for the first time in their life, it shouldn’t be a complete nightmare.

Even more so, hostels in Pune are not just meant for students but for travelers or working professionals of the modern-day who prefer to work in a more liberal environment rather than close and confined spaces. So a change of scenario by staying in hostels could be a fantastic option. Now that the booking season is open, it’s almost time to equip yourself with all the details for choosing a hostel that gives you a tribe and living experience you have always imagined.

Dorm Rooms, Private Rooms, or Something Else

We all love to have our private space. The thought of owning a private room, being able to study late, work late or spend some quality time with self is a desire. But that does not mean dorm rooms and sharing a room with someone is terrible. Hostel life is about experiences you get to share with your roomies.

The number of options has escalated in the present day when it comes to traveling the world and getting to choose a good hostel. So it shouldn’t have to be a stereotypical hostel but more of an adventure into the next chapter.

Flexible Cancelation Policy

Our generation is all about spontaneity and living in the moment. We want to make decisions and take risks but also embrace all the opportunities that come our way. So why should a rigid hostel booking policy become an obstacle in your way to exploring and finding better living conditions?

Amidst the uncertainty of the pandemic situation (nobody wants to go back to that!), travel restrictions could be imposed back, or you might change your mind about the hostel’s location. So it is essential to ensure whether the booked hostel in Mumbai offers the flexibility to cancel without jumping through hoops.

The Amenities

If you are paying handsomely for something, it is important to weigh down on the benefits it is offering. When searching for a girls’ hostel in Mumbai or Pune, you would look for fun things to do in your leisure time like a swimming pool, a playing area to pass the time with others, etc. Moreover, the food, bathroom, and hygiene are crucial things to inspect. The better the facilities are, the more comfortable the experience would be away from home.

Location

Location is significant when looking for a girls’ hostel in Mubai because the ease of going anywhere near the vicinity and feeling safe holds a lot of importance. You wouldn’t want to be living in the middle of a market or experiencing all wilderness and no accessibility to civilization. So make sure when you choose a hostel in Pune or Mumbai area, it is close enough to amenities like malls, parks, markets, etc., and at the same time, it is in a little peaceful environment. The best of both worlds is a fantastic way to reside in a hostel.

Anything Extra to Offer

Many of the hostels & student accommodation have turned supremely innovative and involved amenities like Coworking spaces for working professionals who have the freedom to work remotely and in whichever place they like. Find out if the hostel offers anything extra like pick and drop facility, events, etc. and whether or not these are included in the money you are paying.

The Final Word

Whether you are living in a boy’s hostel in Pune or circling all the available girl’s hostels in Mumbai, you deserve to know the feeling of belongingness and fun even amidst strangers miles away from home. Hostel life is worth exploring, and you deserve to feel at home even when you find that freedom.

That’s why Tribe stays offers one-of-a-kind luxury student accommodation and co-living. They have everything on their sleeves, from cafes, fun zone, and fitness centers to hygienic food and luxury living. So what are you waiting for? The booking is open now.

The best Pune hostel for foodies!

Here’s why you might want to consider Tribe luxury student accommodation if you live to eat and love to party!

There’s nothing that a piping hot bowl of creamy pasta cannot fix, whether it be a broken heart or homesickness. So, if you are somebody who eats to cope with the troubles of adulthood, here’s why Tribe luxury student accommodation’s Viman Nagar campus might just fit your college lifestyle like a glove!

You name the locality, we name the restaurant.

Pune’s buzzing with restaurants of all sorts. Whether it is a sleepy cafe that you want or a breezy rooftop gazebo with an open bar, you’ll not be disappointed when you’re in Viman Nagar. To begin with, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Moreover, you are promised a full tummy no matter what your wallet holds. Students usually flock to Atmosphere 6, Beans Talk Cafe (renowned for their Korean Fried Chicken, New York Cheesecake, and Popcorn Shake (it sounds weird, tastes weirder but it’s the definition of ADDICTIVE)), Where Else Diner and Kelly’s Cafe, which are all a stone’s throw from Tribe Viman Nagar.

Beans Talk Cafe- open-air garden chairs with rustic decor & a canopy of vines strewn overhead

Beans Talk Cafe’s Korean Fried Chicken, french fries and dip

Night Option’s Chicken Schezwan Momos and Sunny Biriyani House’s Egg Bhurji with a piping hot glass of tea are our night owl’s favourite spots. Not too hard on the pocket and incredibly satisfying for the soul! (Ask your Tribe friends where they are because you’ll not find them on Google Maps, their address is imprinted only on hearts :3)

And if you’re not in the mood to step out, Tribe Viman Nagar’s very own Cafe Mamaliga operates till 10 at night to satisfy all your cravings. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners at Mamaliga are also included in every month’s rent. And forget water-downed dals and concrete-laced rotis, our chefs hail from some of the most acclaimed hotel chains across the country (and yes, we have non-vegetarian options in EVERY.SINGLE.MEAL)

For all our meals we serve,

  • 1 Condiment
  • 1 Rice Preparation
  • 1 Dal Preparation
  • 1 Type of Bread
  • 2 Veg Main Courses
  • 1 Non-Veg Main Course
  • 1 Dessert

(We just skip the dal and rice dishes when we serve Chinese, Continental or Italian, which usually happens seven times a week.)

Don’t believe us? Have a look at the menu for the day-

Lunch- Salad Bar, Raita, Vinaigrettes, Veg Biryani,Chicken Biryani, Mirch Ka Salan, Kala Jamun

Dinner-Kashmiri Yellow Dal, Black Chana, Chapati, Dum Ka Pulao, Salad, Papad, Pakoda Kadhi, Murgh Pudina Korma, Jalebi OR Veg Schezwan Stir Fry, Chilli Garlic Fried Rice, Stir-Fried Noodles, Kimchi, Veg Balls in Hot Garlic Sauce, Chicken Manchurian Gravy, Ice Cream

And although these dishes might not enjoy the best of reputation among concerned parents, our chefs’ thoroughly researched recipes have stood the test of time and held testimony to the fact that tasty doesn’t always have to be unhealthy.

Tribe Viman Nagar also ensures to balance these out with home-style meals, one of them this week was Matki Masala Dry, Arhar Dal Tadka, Chapati, Pudina Pulao, Veg Jhalfrezi, Egg Dalna, and Sheera; with a tossed salad and papad on the side. There’s a reason we’re a luxury student accommodation and not just any other Pune hostel.

And, our hot plates in the breakout zone, 24/7 self-cook pantry, and round-the-clock vending machines make sure none of our residents go hungry; no matter the time.

So if you’re somebody who lives to eat and can’t wait to set out on this journey of gastronomical wonder, drop a call at +91 8880868000 or head over to @tribestays (Instagram) or www.tribestays.com to book your Viman Nagar hostel room today!

My first 24 hours as a Tribe luxury student accommodation hostelier

Moving away from home can be rough, but not when you’re moving to the Tribe (Viman Nagar) Pune hostel.

“Passengers for flight UK997 to Pune please go to gate 26”
The uncannily flat tone of the announcer fades out in the background as passengers rush to make way. I had never felt this kind of uncertainty before, there was always somebody to travel with, somebody who could show me the way. And yet, here I was. Traveling alone for the very first time, relocating to a city that I had never even stepped foot into before. The PA system chimes its familiar tune yet again, and as soon as it does, the phone in my pocket rings.

“Ramith, you forgot to pack the pillow covers” Yet another essential I forgot.

“Nevermind maa, I’ll buy some there” Yet another task added to the list.

When I had gotten into MIT World Peace University two months prior in May 2019, there were celebrations galore. But one question remained propped on everybody’s mind- where was I going to stay? Hailing from North India, I had always had extremely low tolerance for heat. So when I saw the temperature charts of Pune on Google, I knew that I couldn’t do without air conditioning if I were to have a comfortable stay. But no matter how much I searched and how good the other hostels were, most of them, unfortunately, did not have ACs.. And that’s when a friend of mine, a previous resident of Tribe luxury student accommodation forwarded me its website link. Little did I know back then that this tiny domain name of www.tribestays.com would become my forever home.

Stepping into the campus

Although I had seen the campus numerous times through video tours, stepping into it for the first time was a complete game-changer. You see, the speciality of Tribe Viman Nagar is not just its cobbled pathways or sunlit rooms, it’s how one feels while in the company of fellow residents. The joyous smile of the security uncle, the reassuring handshake of the CRM, and the chef who reheated my food without me even having to ask, everything made me feel like I was right at home. My room was spacious yet cozy; a 32-inch LED TV, a pristine bathroom and motion-sensor lights greeted me. And to my pleasant surprise, unlike other Pune hostels that provide you with just the skeleton of a mattress and nothing else, Tribe welcomed me with a well-made bed, complete with linens, cushions, and even pillow covers!

Outside the room

After I unpacked and put my things away, I thought of exploring the campus. I was feeling a little hungry too and decided to get something to eat from our in-house Cafe Mamaliga. But I wasn’t exactly feeling like going on my own, and it would be way too awkward to knock on somebody’s door and ask them as they had also just arrived after long travels. Disappointed, I decided to head down. And that’s when it caught my eye- a bunch of newbies huddled together, chatting and exchanging numbers in the breakout area! To this day, I look back at this moment with great fondness, for the friends I made in that space dedicated for socializing, have grown to be my best mates in Pune.

Exploring the Tribe Vibe

Unaware of the technological advancements of Tribe, I went to the reception next to ask for my key. They handed me a turquoise band and told me I could use it to access both the campus and my room. I had known of hotel cards but had never come across something like this. The idea of incorporating the key card into a band for easy access seemed ingenious to me. But I wouldn’t know just how useful this RFID band would be till later that night.

Chats, Clubs, and Chaos

After a filling lunch of Jeera Aloo, Dal Panchmel, Ajwain Paratha, Subz Pulao, Paneer Bharta, Kadhai Murgh, and Gulab Jamun at Mamaliga and a quick HIIT training at the campus gym, my friends and I decided to head out for the night. Moving away from home had to have its perks, and Tribe luxury student accommodation’s no-curfew and no-warden policy had all of us newly freed birds excited. We headed out to explore Viman Nagar’s happening nightlife. When we got back at 2 in the morning, excruciating hunger struck. But Tribe still had our back! We headed over to the 24/7 pantry and made ourselves that one dish that all hosteliers swear by- Maggi (with some other snacks from the campus vending machine)!

Our stomachs full and our hearts content, we headed to bed. But when I reached my room, to my utter shock, I found that my purse was missing. I knew I had it with myself when I entered campus, but it was nowhere to be found now. I spiralled into panic; as a person who kept all his keys in his purse, I thought I would not even be able to get into my room that night. But that’s when I remembered- Tribe luxury student accommodation doesn’t use keys! I can get into my room through my handy RFID wristband that’s much more unlikely to get misplaced.

Our CRMs went above and beyond the next day to look for my purse; a quality that they would retain for the years to come. And although the task wasn’t too difficult because of the 360 degree CCTV coverage of this Pune hostel’s campus, just knowing that somebody cared enough to let go of all their tasks to help me out was reassurance enough for the young lost boy who found his family in Tribe.

I’ve never seen a hostel like Tribe, and if you want to get a taste of this culture too, drop a call at +91 8880868000 or head over to @tribestays on Instagram and join me at the Viman Nagar Tribe campus today!

Good things come to those who wait.
Great things come to those who don't!

Festivities at Tribe that ensure you never feel left out!

If you ask any student what it is that they miss the most about home, chances are that the spot that occupies the immediate after ghar ka khana is their childhood friends and the joy of splashing colours on each other during Holi or biting into a slice of the local rich plum cake on Christmas. The first festivals away from home can be tough, and although colleges provide breaks for major festivals, students often don’t get the chance to travel back home for one-day events such as Holi or Janmashthami. There are also a plethora of intrinsically local events that colleges may not give holidays for. So does that mean our residents won’t celebrate? Absolutely not!

Our happiness managers at Tribe take the well-being of our Mumbai and Pune hostels’ students VERY seriously. So after a hoard of very serious meetings, here are some things they came up with that are practiced at every Tribe campus with tremendous seriousness-

No time to siesta, for it’s the hour of fiesta!

Sleeping the day away under dejected blankets during festivals is strictly prohibited at Tribe. Whether it is egg hunts on campus during Easter or Dahi Handi pyramids during Janmashtami, Tribe does it all. Get ready to get soaked in all-natural colours on Holi and roast mean barbeques on Christmas! We also make it a point to celebrate events such as Earth Day by switching off all our lights for an hour across all Tribe campuses to make way for candlelight dinners under the stars every 22nd of April. We also organize special spreads for all our female residents and staff on Women’s Day. Some other celebrations this year included special room delivery of baked goodies in our hostels in Mumbai and Pune on Valentine’s Day, nukkad nataks (street plays) on campus by Swatantra on World Theatre Day, and so many more that this website’s word limit just wouldn’t allow us to write them all!

It’s never a bad time for some relaxation- special screenings and movie nights!

Whether it’s a mani-pedi sesh at our all-girls hostel in Vile Parle or a movie night with peri peri popcorn and pepperoni pizzas from Cafe Mamaliga at Tribe Wakad, we make it a point to celebrate at least once a month for NO reason at all! From IPL screenings to F1 airing that makes you feel like you’re watching the Monaco GP from a balcony overlooking the track, we do it all. And needless to mention, Tribe is a no-noise zone whenever Manchester United is on the field. Sometimes, we even organize inter-campus events- events where residents of all Tribe campuses come over to shake a leg and eat good food- we recently even had Fiddlecraft perform live at our Viman Nagar hostel and entry was free for all our residents.

Freshers and Farewells like no other- DJs, food, afterparty and much more

From boho-themed incubations to Kuch Kuch Hota Hai-themed farewells (cause tussi jaa rahe ho, tussi na jao :’) ), Tribe parties like there’s no tomorrow. We like to do things a little differently at Tribe- so instead of a campus briefing on the very first day, we like to organize treasure hunts as a way for our new residents to get acquainted with the campus! Now isn’t that a vibe you want to be a part of? Residents groove to DJs and gobble up sliders, popcorn, mocktails, and shakes later.

Our latest Viman Nagar farewell, “WhiteOut ” was a send-off curated by our student representatives- Ramith, Aarshi, Harsh, Amaayra, and Arjan along with DJ Aditi Ismal. The only con of this event was the late realization that white might not have been the smartest dress code choice because the live pasta and spring rolls counter wasn’t exactly kind to our residents. But our students were quick to change and head over to Penthouze Pune, where the afterparty continued till the wee hours of the unforgettable night!
