Tribe Stays Raises $2.4M (Rs 24Cr) from Artha Venture Fund and Riverwalk Holdings to Expand Luxury Coliving across India

17 November 2025

Vryse Team

Six years ago, Tribe started as a wild idea that students and young professionals in India deserved more than basic accommodation.
They deserved thoughtfully designed spaces that felt like home, inspired connection, and made everyday living easier.

Back then, it was just three people, a few plastic tables, and one property under construction., no playbook, no certainty; just conviction, curiosity, and a belief that living could mean more.

Today, that idea has turned into a movement.
Tribe has officially closed its Seed funding round of ₹24 Crores ($2.8 Million), led by Artha Venture Fund and Riverwalk Holdings, with participation from Kunal Khanna (Founder & CEO – Vivaldis), Krishna Jain (Tickster),This milestone marks the next step in our journey to reimagine how India’s youth live with comfort, community, and culture at the heart of it all.

A Vision That Scales with Soul

Founded in 2018 by Yogesh Mehra, Aman Mehra, and Shantam Mehra, Tribe was born out of frustration with the status quo.
Hostels were transactional. PGs were isolating. And “co-living” hadn’t yet become a movement in India.

So we decided to build something different; spaces that offered the warmth of home and the energy of a community.

With 650 operational beds and 1,000 more launching this year, Tribe has grown into one of India’s fastest-evolving premium living brands. Our formats include:

  • Tribe Student Accommodation – designed for students who seek comfort, safety, and connection
  • Tribe Commune – co-living spaces for working professionals and creators
  • Tribe Suites – serviced apartments for extended corporate and leisure stays

“We didn’t set out to just build buildings. We wanted to build belonging,” says Aman Mehra, Co-Founder.
Every detail, from food to design to tech, is built around how people actually live.

Building for the Next Chapter

This round of funding will help Tribe expand across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, strengthen its technology stack, and deepen the experience across all its formats.
The goal is clear, 25,000 beds in the next five years, while keeping the focus on community, quality, and long-term sustainability.

“Every property we open carries the same heartbeat as our first,” shares Shantam Mehra, Co-Founder.
“This is growth with intention, not just scaling fast, but scaling right.”

The Believers Behind the Vision

The round was led by Artha Venture Fund (Anirudh Damani) and Riverwalk Holdings (Satveer Singh Thakral), early believers in Tribe’s mission to build India’s most trusted managed-living brand.
They are joined by Kunal Khanna (Vivaldis), Krishna Jain (Tickster), among other strategic investors who bring not just capital, but conviction.

“We’re excited to partner with investors who see beyond the numbers,” says Yogesh Mehra, Founder & CEO.
“They understand the long game that Tribe isn’t just about where you live, it’s about how you live.”

Here’s to What Comes Next

Every milestone at Tribe is built by people, our teams, our partners, and our residents who show up every day with the same energy we had on day one.

This isn’t just a funding announcement.
It’s a reminder that belief, resilience, and a strong community can build something truly extraordinary.

Here’s to the next chapter; more cities, more stories, and more people finding their Tribe.
Onwards and upwards.
